Finding a Team
When starting a new project, the easiest option is always to do everything yourself. When that’s not an option you’re going to have to find someone who can do it.
Finding good developers is hard at the best of times. Finding good developers we can afford is even harder.
The plan as it stands at the moment is to hire a development team in Thailand, mainly because that’s the place with significantly lower prices than Sydney that I am most familiar with. Knowing the market you are getting in to is as important for hiring as it is for product development.
We’ll be trying to find someone directly rather than using one of the theoretically easier ways of getting development done, partly to avoid paying more than we have to, and partly because I believe I can do better at filtering the resumes than anyone else.
I have sent out the job ad, and will post again when some responses come in.
